Laser Scanning a Historic Coal Mine
Store Norske commissioned NIKU to document the historic Svea coal mine before its naturalization. Using aerial and terrestrial LiDAR and drone photogrammetry, NIKU captured terabytes of high-resolution data and merged it all in NUBIGON to present project results. This data will also be accessible in real-time at the museum dedicated to preserving the site’s legacy.
